De acuerdo al Informe de Sociedad en Acción 2023, en Chile hay 378.767 organizaciones de la Soceidad Civil en el país. De ellas, 299.148 son organizaciones comunitarias, sean territoriales o funcionales. Es decir, el 74% son Juntas de Vecinos y Organizaciones Comunitarias Funcionales y las fundaciones representan sólo el 9,3% de las OSC en Chile.
